Technology barriers are social barriers... hmmm, that reminds of the quote from Benkler's Wealth of Networks: "Technology creates feasibility spaces for social practice."

As was noted on New Museums, there is also the beneficial echo effect in these technologies: user-generated sites can help to lend focus, form and political credence to the cumulative nebulous of individual opinion, opposition and political power. That is the power of collaboration, it is magnifying.

It is interesting to consider what the implications for their various political sections could be once those are built up (Green, for example, is pretty much empty, and Libertarian and Socialist have only a bit more). Rather than encouraging siloing of people with the same political leanings, a site like this could be excellent to encourage cross linkages. Congresspedia (http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=Congresspedia) may be a better example of what is happening with citizen-oriented political coverage.

Catchy post - enjoyable to read. I listened to his performance on "Meet the Press" today while i doodled around my apartment. I got bored by my own refrain: "Just answer the question!" Can't figure out where he sees an opportunity to position himself in the race, but you can't help but admire a guy who lost all that weight and finished the NY Marathon last November. How'd a sitting governor find the time to train, I wonder?
